Lane died yesterday morning at her home in Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, after an illness of about two weeks. She had been suffering with heart trouble several years, which brought on a complication of diseases, but her sickness did not become to be of a serious nature until the time mentioned above. Her closing hours were spent in a comatose state and she could not partake of any nourishment. Her 32d birthday would have occurred in November. She leaves to mourn their loss, a grief stricken husband, a father, Mr. J.A. McCloud, Sr., a sister, Mrs. Kate Latimer, three brothers, Messrs. J.A. Mc., Jr., George R. and Jessie McCloud and four small children, all of whom are residents of South Norfolk. Mrs. Lane was a consistent member of Main Street Christian Church, Berkley, in which she worshiped a great many years and passed away in the faith and hope that characterized her life. Mrs. Lane was a well known and highly respected lady of the community in which she was born and reared. The funeral services will take place this afternoon at 5 o'clock from the home and will be conducted by Rev. E.W. Cowling, rector of St. Thomas' P.E. Church, Berkley. The interment will be made in Magnolia Cemetery. ************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. J.T. Lane, whose death was noted in this paper, was conducted from the family residence in Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, Rev. E.W. Cowling, rector of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, officiating. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. It was the largest funeral that has taken place in South Norfolk in many years. The home would by no means accomodate the large concourse of friends who gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to one for whom they had the highest regard. The services, both at the residence and the grave, were very impressive. There were many beautiful wreaths brought by tender and loving friends and laid on and about the mound that marks the last resting place of the deceased. The pallbearers were Messrs. Louis F. and J.B. McCloud, R.B. and J. Allen Jones, W.F. Gray, George V. Vellines, W.M. and P.A. George.
