Lane, 85, of 405 Cecelia Avenue, mother of Charles W. B. Lane, editor of the Palisadian, weekly newspaper published here, will be conducted at 8 p.m. today at McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, Grantwood. Mrs. Lane died shortly before midnight yesterday from complications which developed from an injury suffered last April in a fall at her home. Born in Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Lane had lived in New Jersey since 1900, moving to this Borough shortly after 1924. She was a member of the Cliffside Chapter of the American Red Cross, having been honored for her record of 2,000 sewing hours. She had been a member of the Palisade Women's Club for the last 25 years and was also a member of the Women's Club and a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church in Grantwood. The Rev. Robert Clark, rector of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Fort Lee, will officiate at the services tonight. Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, followed by cremation in the New York and New Jersey Crematory, North Bergen. The ashes will be buried in the family plot in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, Va.
