Virginian-Pilot December 10, 1961
NORFOLK — Mrs. Gertrude Leonard Lane, 83, widow of Thom B. Lane and daughter of 
Franklin Leonard and Mrs. Mary Walker Bush, died Saturday at 3:10 a.m. in a 
Norfolk hospital.
She was a native of Southboro, Mass, and lived in Norfolk 25 years, lately in 
the Holland Apartments, 200 Drummond Place.
She is survived by a niece, Mrs. John P. Bunker of Stanford, Calif., and a 
nephew, Samuel D. Bush, of Weston, Mass.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Old St Paul's 
Episcopal Church for a funeral service Tuesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Walton W. 
Davis. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends are requested to omit 
flowers.
