Norfolk - Charlie Lane of 420 Appomattox St., Berkley, the husband of the late
Mrs. Willie Mae Lane, died Saturday in Lake Taylor City Hospital.

A native of Corapeake, NC, he was a retired, 30-year employe of the Richmond
Cedar Works. He was an Army veteran of World War 1 and a member of Zion
Tabernacle Baptist Church of Corapeake.

Survivors include two nephews, Benjamin Brothers Sr. and Roland Brothers of
Norfolk; and three nieces, Mrs. Mea Pruden and Mrs. Beulah White of Sunbury, and
Mrs. Irene Hawkins of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in St. Mark’s United Church of Christ
by the Rev. David P. butts. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with Pretlow’s
Funeral Home, Norfolk, in charge.
