He was a native of Norfolk and the son of the late Gordon F. Sr. and Corrine Hardy Lang. He was the husband of Pamela O. Lang. Gordon was a gentle man and was employed at the Naval Operating Base, Norfolk, for more than 20 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Corrine Bernice Lang of the home; three sisters, Annette Lang, Lavern Reid, Sharon Lang; three brothers, Robert Hardy, James Lang and David Lang; his maternal grandmother, Mary Hardy; mother-in-law, Bernice James; father-in-law, Virginius James; sister-in-law, Millicent James; brother-in-law, Charles M. Green; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, friends; aunts, Velma Hardy and Jeanette Hawkins. He was predeceased by a brother, Linwood Hardy. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Riddick Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A viewing will be held Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. The family will leave from 807 Whitaker Lane.
