Virginia Beach - Final rites for Robert Eugene Langley, 23, who drowned July 23 
in the Elizabeth River, Norfolk, were held July 27 in New Light Baptist Church 
by the Rev. C. V. Russell.

A native of Norfolk, he was a son of John D. Langley, Sr. and Mrs. Ruth E. 
Langley.

He worked for the Virginia Beach Highway Department five years.

Besides his parents, surviving are a sister, Mrs. Gloria Williams of Chesapeake;  
two brothers, John D. Langley Jr. of Chesapeake and Michael Langley of Virginia 
Beach;  and a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Goldie Green of Virginia Beach.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
