The Virginian-Pilot, Thursday, November 30, 1989

NORFOLK - George Joseph Langley, of the 1700 block of O'Keefe St., a retired 
carpenter, died November 27, 1989, in a Virginia Beach nursing home.

Mr. Langley, a Norfolk native, was the widower of Ethel Langley. He was a member 
of st. Mary's Catholic Church, Eureka Lodge and Sons of Norfolk.

Survivors include two sisters, Mabel Langley and Whilemenia Shelton, both of 
Long Island, N.Y.

The funeral will be conducted at noon today in St. Mary's Catholic Church by the 
Rev. Walter Barrett. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. family and friends will 
assemble at the residence for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is 
handling arrangements.
