Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 24, 1950

Joseph James Lanigan, 75, son of Patrick and Mrs. Margaret Meehan Lanigan, a 
native of Culpeper, and a resident of Norfolk 70 years, died Tuesday at 9:45 p.m. 
at a Norfolk hospital.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. P.H. Lawler, of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Margaret 
C. Wheeler, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments tonight at 8 
o'clock.
