Virginian-Pilot  December 22, 1918
Mrs. Margaret Lanigan, widow of Patrick Lanigan, died Saturday at noon at the 
residence, Tunstall avenue, in her 83d year. A native of Ireland, she had made 
Norfolk her home for the past half century. Mrs. Lanigan is survived by two 
daughters, Mrs. P. H. Lawler and Mrs. E. F. Wheeler; three sons, T. P., W. D. and 
J. J. Lanigan; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services 
will take place at St. Mary's Catholic church tomorrow morning at 10:30. Interment 
will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
