Lanigan died at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Margaret Lanigan, 148 South May avenue, at 2:45 p.m. yesterday after an illness of several months. The deceased was a native of Washington, D.C., but had been a resident of Norfolk for thirty-four years. He was a member of the B. I. L. Besides his mother, he is survived by a widow and two children - James and Agnes Lanigan, of this city; two sisters - Mrs. P. H. Lawler, of Baltimore, Mrs. E. F. Wheeler: and three brothers - W. D., T. P. and J. J. Lanigan, all of Norfolk. The funeral will be held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 9:30 o’clock a.m. Monday and will be conducted by Rev. James F. Wareing. The interment will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
