Virginian-Pilot  November 24, 1922
Thomas P. Lanigan - 53 years old, died at 5 o’clock yesterday morning. He was a 
native of Washington, but had been a resident of Norfolk for the last forty-five 
years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. P. H. Lawler and Mrs. Elmer Wheeler, 
and one brother, Joseph Lanigan, all of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the 
funeral apartments of H. D. Oliver, 610-12 East Freemason Street, at 10 o’clock 
tomorrow morning to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for funeral services. Burial will 
be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
