Mrs. Lascara was born in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Matthew J. Russo, Sr. and Rosine Bisese Russo. She was a founding member of the Church of the Resurrection. A loving mother and homemaker, Antoinette was a forgiving and compassionate women who always enjoyed being with family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, especially preparing holiday meals. Her lasagna and fudge were second to none. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Vincent E. Lascara; five children, Vincent E. Lascara, Jr. and wife Mary Jo, Dominic Paul “Donnie” Lascara, Mary Cecilia Gilmore and husband Carl, Matthew John Lascara and wife Tammy, Michael Samuel Lascara; a brother, Matthew J. Russo, Jr. and wife Susan; a sister, Mary Ann R. Resolute and husband James; nine grandchildren, Vincent Michael, Joseph Louis, Michael Dominic, Danielle Marie, Jennifer Cecilia, Cecilia Michelle, Lindsay Renee, Matthew John II, and Chloe Marie; two great-grandchildren, Carleigh Paige and Jaden Matthew; two sisters-in-law, Josie Russo and Wanda Russo; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Joseph P. Russo, Dr. Samuel V. Russo, Sr., and a dear niece, Rosina Resolute. Friends may join the family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett’s Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25 at Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 3000 Church St., Norfolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to United Church Homes and Services Foundation, c/o Lake Prince Woods, 100 Anna Goode Way, Suffolk, Virginia 23434; or to a charity of choice.
