Virginian-Pilot August 23, 1945
Joseph Lascara, 60, husband of Mrs. Mary Caleo Lascara, and son of the late 
Vincent and Mrs. Rose Lascara, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died 
yesterday at 1:50 p.m., at the residence, 1022 Brambleton Ave. Besides his wife, 
Mrs. Mary Caleo Lascara, he is survived by two sons, Lieut. Vincent Lascara, USN, 
and Anthony Lascara, USMC, in the Pacific; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Coppola and 
Miss Cecelia Lascara, of Norfolk; four brothers, Frank, Dominic and J. B. Lascara, 
of Norfolk, and Dr. V. E. Lascara, of Petersburg, Va. The body will be taken to 
St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Interment will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments tonight at 7:30 o’clock.
