Virginian-Pilot  December 13, 1944
Michael Lascara, aged 78 years, husband of Mrs. Rosa Vita Lascara, a native of 
Italy and a resident of Norfolk for 62 years, died at 12:37 o’clock yesterday 
morning at the residence, 1819 Willoughby avenue. Mr. Lascara was a member of St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church, and of the Italian Benevolent Society. Besides his wife, 
Mrs. Rosa Vita Lascara, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W. Chaplain Perry, 
three sons, Joseph Vincent, Nathaniel Francis, and Gene Grancis Lascara, three 
granddaughters and one grandson, all of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the 
H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services 
tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary 
services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8 o’clock.
