He was a son of the late Joseph Lashley and Mrs. Stella Lashley. Born in Southampton County, he lived in Norfolk 30 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Lashley; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Moose of Portsmouth; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Peoples of Suffolk and Mrs. Leotis Miller, Mrs. Gladys Harris, Miss Willie Lashley and Mrs. Lucille Ming of Norfolk; and two brothers, the Rev. Melvin T. Lashley and Norris Lashley of Norfolk. The body was taken to Fitchett Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. D.P. Butts, pastor of St. Mark's Congregational Christian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
