The Virginian Pilot November 8, 1959
Mrs. Eva Frances Lassiter, widow of Thomas Lassiter, died Friday at 4 a.m. at 
the home, 265 Port View Ave., after a brief illness.
She was a daughter of the late John L. and Mrs. Nancy Cattenhead, and was a 
native of Portsmouth.  She had lived in this area all her life.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Daughters of America.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Arthur Doss and Mrs. Paul Minch, both of 
Norfolk, Mrs. Benjamin Barker and Mrs. William Williams, both of Indianapolis, 
Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Dempsey of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren and 17 
great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Snellings Funeral Home Monday at 11 a.m.  Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
