Norfolk Virginian August 12, 1891  

The Virginian regrets to announce the death of Mr. D. Frank Lassiter, eldest son 
of D.C. Lassiter, Esq., which occurred at his residence, No. 427 Brambleton 
Avenue, yesterday morning at 2:30 o'clock after a severe illness. Deceased was in 
the 29th year of his age and leaves a widow and four children. His funeral will 
take place from Cumberland Street Baptist Church this morning at 10 o'clock. 
Friends and acquaintances invited to attend.
