A native of Williamston, NC, he was a son of the late Smith Roberson and Mrs. Neice Latham. He worked for Overmyer & Ennis Monument Co. 12 years. Besides his widow, surviving are three sons, William Latham, Julious Latham and James Latham, and six daughters, Mrs. Shirley Ward, Miss Annie Latham, Mrs. Barbara Harrell, Mrs. Margie Collins, Miss Vanessa Latham, and Miss Muriel Latham, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Nettlie Earner of Brooklyn and Mrs. Naomi Roberson of Creswell, NC; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grand children. Services were held in Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. F. P. Wise. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
