NORFOLK - David Lathan of 585 E. Olney Road, a native of Norfolk, died Thursday in a
hospital.

Lathan had been employed at Norfolk community Hospital for three years. He was a
member of Queen Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Davida Long, and tow sons, Ahmad Bilal and Daoud
Bilal, all of Norfolk; tow sisters, Marie Simmons of Norfolk and Dorothy Swift of
New York City; two brothers, Phillip Lathan and John Ray Lumb, both of Norfolk; and
two grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday in Graves Funeral Chapel by the Rev.
J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will be at the residence.
