NORFOLK - Rosvel Lathan, 53, of 2621 Mapleton Ave., the husband of Mrs. Alma Lathan
and a native of Mount Vernon, N.Y., died Thursday in a hospital.

He was a retired clerk of the Norfolk Post Office, where he worked 23 years.

Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Rosella P. Jackson of Brooklyn, Mrs. Carolyn
D. Bolling of Falls Church, Mrs. Sandra T. Breathwaite of Norfolk, and Mrs. Cleo A.
Gow of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Cardell Taylor and Rosvelt Lathan Jr. of
Norfolk; and eight grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:15 p.m. in Twilight Funeral Chapel by the
Rev. Hilton C. Felton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at the
funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and will assemble at his home at 1:15 p.m. Sunday.
