Virginian Pilot September 24, 1997

Margaret Wilson Lathan, 99, a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, passed 
away Sept. 23, 1997, in her residence.
Mrs. Lathan is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Ward of Virginia Beach; four 
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was 
preceded in death by a grandson.
A graveside service will be conducted at noon today in Elmwood Cemetery by the 
Rev. Bill Kincaid. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to 
the Union Mission, 130 Brooke Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23510. Altmeyer Funeral Home, 
Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements
