Virginian-Pilot  March 8, 1945
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Lathrop, widow of Frank Warren Lathrop and daughter of the 
late Frank and Mrs. Elizabeth Markey Hatton, died at a local hospital Wednesday 
evening at 8 o’clock.
Mrs. Lathrop was a native of Norfolk and resided here until four years ago, 
residing since then at Virginia Beach.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eugene Bradley Clark, Jr., of Virginia 
Beach; two sons, Frank W. Lathrop, Jr., of Virginia Beach, and John Burk 
Lathrop, USMC, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph P. Seelinger, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to The Star of 
the Sea Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, for services Friday morning at 10:30 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held 
at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments this evening at 8 o’clock.
