Virginian-Pilot  April 16, 1966
NORFOLK - Edison Sylvester Laurent, 67, of 8447 Friden St., Larrymore Acres, 
husband of Mrs. Margaret R. Laurent and son of Sylvester E. and Mrs. Katherine 
Laurent, died in a hospital Friday at 6 a.m.
He was a native of Beaver Falls, Pa., and lived in Norfolk 37 years.
He was a retired Naval Air Station metalsmith, a World War I veteran, and a 
former treasurer and board member of United Cerebral Palsy Association. He was 
employed by Gale Hotel and was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Miss Anna Marie Laurent of 
Norfolk.
The body will be taken from Twiford Funeral Home to St. Pius Catholic Church for 
a funeral service Monday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 
The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
