Norfolk Virginian-Pilot  April 30, 1949

LAVADO, LOUIS - At a local hospital, Friday, April 29, 1949, at 4:30 o’clock 
a.m., LOUIS LAVADO, aged 53 years. Services at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, THIS (Saturday) AFTERNOON at 3:30 
o’clock. 
Friends are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Louis Lavado, 53, a native of Spain and a resident of Norfolk for a number of 
years, died yesterday at 4:30 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital. He was a seaman and a 
member of the National Maritime Union.
Services were conducted at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 3:00 p.m. by 
the Rev. Richard Rivard, of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
