Norfolk Ledger Dispatch May 13, 1933

Mrs. Bertha Large Lawler, 47, wife of Edmond T. Lawler and daughter of John 
Austin and Mary Jane Burton Large, died yesterday at 2:10 p.m. at a local 
hospital. She was a native of Montgomery, Ala. and had been a resident of 
Norfolk for 20 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Mildred F. Lawler, of 
Norfolk; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Large, of Dallas, Texas; two 
brothers, William R. and E.T. Large; five sisters, Mrs. C.C. Wells, Mrs. H.R. 
Shanks, Mrs. R.R. Duncan, Mrs. J.O. Shafer, Jr., all of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. 
Ernest V. Butt, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the residence, No. 2 Graydon Apartments, 616 Graydon 
Park, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services Monday morning at 9 
o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

o’clock p. m., BERTHA LARGE, wife of Edmond T. Lawler, and daughter of John 
Austin and Mary Jane Burton Large, in the 48th year of her age.
Remains will be taken from the residence, No. 2 Graydon Apartments, 616 Graydon 
Park, to Sacred Heart Catholic church for funeral services MONDAY MORNING at 9 
o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s 
cemetery.
