Lawler, occurs from St. Mary's Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock with requiem mass celebrated by Rev. Fathers John Doherty and E.J. Walsh. Mrs. Lawler passed away yesterday afternoon at the home of her son, Robert J. Lawler, No. 100 Virginia Street, in the eighty-second year of her age. The deceased, a native of Wexford, Ireland, came to this country in early life and had been a resident here for fifty-four years. She was the widow of John Lawler and is survived by four sons, one daughter, nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her children are John F, Lawler, Robert J. Lawler, Patrick H Lawler, Frank J. Lawler and Mrs. Mary T. Hayes, of Montgomery, Ala. **************************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Susan Lawler was held from St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 o’clock yesterday morning and was numerously attended by the friends of the deceased. There was a profusion of lovely floral tributes sent by friends. Solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father John J. Doherty, pastor of the church, who paid a beautiful tribute to the life and Christian character of the deceased. Rev. Joseph Frioli, of Newport News, Rev. E.J. Walsh and Rev. J.A. Kelliher attended the obsequies. During the service Mrs. Hughes sang “O, Salutaris,” and “Lead, Kindly Light.” The interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers, with one exception, were grandsons of Mrs. Lawler, as follows: John F. Lawler, Jr., Lee F. Lawler, Emmett J. Lawler, Vincent J. Lawler, R.J. Lawler, Jr., John P. Lawler, James R. Lawler and Walter U.A.
