NORFOLK - Mariam B. Lawler was reunited in heaven with her husband and best 
friend, Lee F. Lawler, Sept. 24, 2006.

Mariam was born June 23, 1925, in Robersonville, N.C., and was a lifelong resident 
of Norfolk and Virginia Beach.  She spent 40 years working as a senior accountant 
for several of the areas largest companies.  When she allowed herself time away 
from work, she enjoyed gardening and traveling with her family.  Mariam will be 
truly missed and always will be remembered by her family and by the many people 
whose lives she touched.

Mariam was predeceased by her two daughters, Leslie Ann Lawler and Nora Lawler 
Turpin.  She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Elaine Russell and her 
husband, Ellroy, her son, Lee F. Lawler and his wife, Carolyn; five grandchildren, 
Tracy Turpin, Nicholas Weaver and his wife, Robin, Jackie Wilson and her husband, 
Jereme, Helen Judd and her husband, Timothy, and Lee Lawler; and her three loving 
great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Tyler and Madelyn.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. 

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church.  H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Cedar Road Chapel, is handling 
arrangements.
