Lawler, 58, Norfolk dentist, died last night at 11:15 o’clock at De Paul Hospital. He had been ill since January 1. A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late John F. Lawler and Nora T. Lawler. He studied his profession in Baltimore and had practiced here for about 35 years. He was a member of the Norfolk Lodge, BPOE, Loyal Order of Moose and the Holy Name Society. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs, Inez Maley Lawler; two sons, Winston Lawler, USA, and Emmett J. Lawler, lately of the U.S. Army; a daughter, Mrs. Clay Gatewood; three brothers, John F. Lawler and Lee F. Lawler of Norfolk, and Vincent J. Lawler of Baltimore; a sister, Miss Nora T. Lawler, and a grandson. The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. Dr. Emmet Joseph Lawler – The body of Dr. Lawler, who died Saturday night at a local hospital, will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for services today at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
