Lawler, widow of Joseph J. Lawler, and daughter of the late Timothy John and Mrs. Anne Virginia Weston Hickey, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at her residence, Apartment 104, Garden Apartments, 601 Stockley Gardens, last night at 9:30 o’clock. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William A. Vanderberry, of Norfolk; one son, J. Weston Lawler, of Portsmouth; two grandchildren, Edward Lee Vanderberry and Anne Fenton Vanderberry, both of Norfolk; five sisters, Miss Margaret Hickey, Mrs. T. B. Hatton and Mrs. W. W. Lee, all of Norfolk; Mrs. George A. Mahoney, of Lakewood, Ohio, and Mrs. Frank C. Woods, of Baltimore; and one brother, J. Burke Hickey, of Baltimore. The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. LAWLER, MARIE A. - At the residence, No. 601 Stockley Gardens, Wednesday, October 13, 1948, at 9:30 o’clock p.m., MARIE A., widow of Joseph J. Lawler and daughter of the late Timothy John and Anne Virginia Weston Hickey. Remains will be taken from the residence to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for funeral services SATURDAY MORNING at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
