Virginian-Pilot January 29, 1975
NORFOLK - Robert Beynon Lawler, 86, formerly of 623 Shirley Ave., a lifelong 
resident of Norfolk and a retired, 50-year employee of Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, 
died Tuesday in a hospital.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include three nephews, R. Palmer Lawler, Edward F. Lawler, and Joseph J. 
Lawler of Norfolk; and a niece, Mrs. Frances L. Scullion of Virginia Beach.
A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 7 in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will be at 623 Shirley Ave.
