Lawler died at his residence, No. 117 West Twelfth street, Friday at 11:55 p.m., after an illness of several months. Deceased was a native of Alexandria, Va., and had resided in Norfolk for more than forty years, was connected with the firm of J. J. Lawler & Co., plumbers and steamfitters, and was well known and highly esteemed. He was a member of the following organizations: A. O. H., E. B. A. (of which he was financial secretary), and W. O. W. Mr. Lawler is survived by his widow, one daughter, Mrs. E. F. Lawler, two sons, E. T. and Robert B. Lawler, all of Norfolk; two sisters, Miss Margaret Lawler, Norfolk, and Mrs. John Ash, Washington, D. C. Funeral arrangements later. The funeral of Robert E. Lawler, who died Friday night, will take place tomorrow morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church and will be conducted by Rev J. J. Doherty, the pastor. Interment will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
