NORFOLK - Judge Lawrence C. Lawless died Nov. 8, 2002.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan; his four daughters, Susan Hart, 
Anne, Emily, Lindsay and husband, Michael Wise; his grandchildren, "Breck", Anne 
Freeman and Millicent and his brother, John, and sister, Kitty.

He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, attended Maury High School and Old Dominion 
University and graduated from the University of Virginia Law School. He was an 
Army veteran of the Korean War and served as a judge of the General District Court 
of the City of Norfolk for 22 years.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. 
Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
