NORFOLK - Mrs. Dorothy Hart Lawless, 81, of 1444 Westover Ave., the widow of 
Joseph Thomas Lawless Jr., died Tuesday in a hospital.
A native of Bowling Green, Va., she lived here since 1924. She was a daughter of 
John and Mrs. Katherine McKown Hart.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Surviving are five sons, Joseph Thomas Lawless III, John H. Lawless, Lawrence C. 
Lawless, Michael W. Lawless of Norfolk, and Spencer C. Lawless of Naples, Italy; 
a daughter, Miss Catherine B. Lawless of Norfolk; a brother, Allen Hart of 
Richmond; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Chenault of Richmond, Ky.; and 12 
grandchildren.
A Christian wake service will be held tonight at 7:30 in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church.	
The family will be at 1407 Graydon Place.
