He was a native of Lynchburg, and a resident of Norfolk for the past 30 years, residing at 2010 Carolina avenue, East Fairmount Park, at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of that church. Surviving him are one daughter, Mrs. J. F. Cassell, of Norfolk; two brothers, John W. Lawless, of Rustburg, and C. A. Lawless, of Philadelphia; two sisters, Mrs. I. R. Rucker, of Washington, and Mrs. W. F. Manning, of Baltimore, and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8 o’clock.
