Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, October 10, 1991 
Gloria Jeanette Lawrence of the 2200 block of Courtney St., died Oct. 5, 1991,
in a hospital.

Mrs. Lawrence was born in Norfolk and was a member of New St. Mark Baptist Church.

Survivors include her father, Paul Ricks of Norfolk; three sisters, Patricia
Jones of Portsmouth, Odessa Moore and Sarah Newsome, both of Norfolk; and seven
brothers, Paul Ricks of Chesapeake, Rudolph Ricks of New York City, James Ricks,
Larry Ricks and Aubrey Ricks, all of Norfolk, Alfred Ricks of Portsmouth and
Maurice Ricks of Fort Richardson, Alaska.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in New St. Mark Baptist Church
by the Rev. William Burnell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may
join the family at the residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
