Virginian Pilot and the Norfolk Landmark November 13, 1915

William Johnston Lawrence, Jr., died early yesterday morning at the home of 
his father-in-law, R.I. Bosman, Hanover Avenue, Larchmont, after three 
months' illness, aged 35 years.  He was a native of Norfolk and had lived 
here all his life.  He was widely known and held in high esteem. He is 
survived by his wife and little daughter, Mary Johnston, his father, William 
J. Lawrence, Sr., of Harrelsville, N.C.  He was a member of the Second 
Presbyterian Church.  The funeral will take place at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow 
afternoon from the residence.  Rev. D.N. McLaughlin and Rev. L.B. Betty will 
conduct the services.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
