Virginian-Pilot November 25 & 29, 1968
NORFOLK - Edward Bunting Lawrence, 79, of 9369 Morwin St., the husband of Mrs. 
Lucille Gregory Lawrence and a son of Claude and Mrs. Ida Lynch Lawrence, died 
in a hospital Sunday at 3:15 a.m.
A native of Berkley (Norfolk), he was a lifelong resident of the Norfolk area. 
He was a member of Bayview Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War I.
He retired in 1949 as clerk of Norfolk Southern Railway after 30 years.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gloria P. Wade of Cocoa 
Beach, Fla.; three grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home.

LAWRENCE, EDWARD BUNTING - At a Norfolk hospital, Sunday morning, Nov. 24, 1968, 
at 3:15 o'clock, EDWARD BUNTING LAWRENCE, husband of Mrs. Lucille Gregory 
Lawrence, in the 80th year of his age. The body will be taken from Hollomon-
Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, to Elmwood Cemetery for a graveside funeral 
service THURSDAY AFTERNOON, Nov. 29, 1968, at 2 o'clock. Friends are invited.
