Lawrence Shoots Herself While Temporarily Insane The friends of the family of Mr. John R. Lawrence, the well-known Granby Street, oyster packer, were shocked yesterday at the news that Mrs. Lawrence while in a condition of mental aberration had shot herself. Mrs. Lawrence had been a great sufferer from neuralgia, and had been very despondent of late. There is hardly a doubt that her mind was unbalanced. The sad affair happened at 4 o’clock in the morning. Mr. Lawrence being awakened by the sound of a pistol shot. He found his wife dying. The bullet had entered the right side of her head near the temple. The deceased lady was a women of many lovable traits and her death has prostrated her loving family and grieved her friends beyond expression. She was 47 years old and leaves three children, a son and daughter at home and a daughter in Philadelphia.
