All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Diane Renfrow dianel14@gmail.com October 15, 2018, 1:09 pm Norfolk Virginian-Pilot, page 38, Thursday, June 13, 1957 NORFOLK – William Joseph Lawson, Sr., 63, husband of Mrs. Josephine Prepneit Lawson and son of the late Christian S. and Mrs. Ann Lawson, a native of Hopewell and a resident of Norfolk for the past 45 years, died at the residence, 2505 Console Ave., Camellia Shores, yesterday at 1:15 a.m. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, While Lily Camp 97, W.O.W., Portsmouth, Loyal Order of the Moose No. 898, Portsmouth, and honorary member of Painters Local 1100 and Supervisors Assn. N.O.B. He was employed at the Naval Base for 35 years before his retirement. Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. J. H. Holloman, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mrs. George H. Harris of Franklin; one son, William Joseph Lawson, Jr., of Streator, Ill., and five grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home, tomorrow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
