Virginian-Pilot June 3, 1982
NORFOLK — George Melvin Lawton, 79, of 1029 Lindale Lane, died Wednesday in a 
nursing home.
He was a native of Norfolk and had retired from George D. Lawton Blacksmith Shop 
as a blacksmith.
Survivors include several cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Elmwood Cemetery, with Cox 
Funeral Home in charge.
