Virginian Pilot November 1, 1999

Virginia W. Laylor, 91, of the 3100 block of Shore Drive, died Oct. 30, 1999.
Mrs. Laylor was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of Thomas S. Laylor.
Mrs. Laylor was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Norfolk, 
where she was on the Altar Guild. She was a graduate of Longwood College, past 
president of the Episcopal Home in Norfolk, and a member of PEO Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Anne Iredell, and her husband, John, of Murrells 
Inlet, S.C.; and a grandson, Thomas W. Iredell of Hilton Head Island, S.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ and St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church by the Rev. James H.W. Sell. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery 
in Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. 
Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ and St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is 
handling arrangements.
