Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - April 16, 2017
 Norfolk - Lucille Audrey Layne passed on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Lake Taylor 
Hospital. Lucille was born on July 1, 1915 to Lulu and Lee Layne . At the age of 
twelve she was 'adopted' by Walter and Harriett Fulford. For 33 years Lucille was 
a secretary for Norfolk Public Schools and also worked part-time for Dr. George 
Alston. She is survived by her sister Harriett F. Goodrich and a host of other 
relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, April 
20, 2017 at Grace Episcopal Church where Lucille was a Life Time Member. She 
served on the Altar Guild, taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and was an 
active member in the St. Teresa Guild. gravesfuneralhomeinc.com
