Leache, well known as the founder of the Leache-Wood Seminary, in this city, and who taught in Norfolk for a number of years, departed this life at 7 o'clock Sunday night, at No. 182 Granby street. The deceased returned from Europe about two months ago. She was a lady of superior intellectual attainments and highly esteemed in the community. The funeral will be solemnized from the residence at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. *********************************************************************** The funeral of Miss Irene K. Leache, whose death has been noted in these columns, was held from 182 Granby street at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, in the presence of a large concourse of the friends of the deceased. Rev. B.D. Tucker, D.D., rector of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, conducted the services. The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pall-bearers: Messrs. C. Whittle Sams, J.W. Wilcox, A.B. Broughton, Barton Myers, John Reynolds, W.H. Sargeant, Sr., A.C Humphreys and Dr. L.C. Shepherd.
