Mrs. Leary was born in Cowdenbeath, Scotland, and was the widow of William J. Leary. She was a member of Church of the Ascension Catholic Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mary S. Ferris of Virginia Beach and Elizabeth T. Burkett of Poquoson, Va.; one sister, Mary McElroy of Cape Coral, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Boylan. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Church of the Ascension Catholic Church by Father William J. Dale. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kemspville Chapel, Virginia Beach, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the residence. Family and friends are asked to gather at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday for prayers and processional to the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lions' Eye Bank of South Eastern Virginia.
