NORFOLK - J. Declan Leavy, the 1 1/2-year-old son of Lorane Leavy and Dr. Philip 
G. Leavy of 1125 Westover Ave., died Thursday in a hospital. He was born in 
Norfolk.
Other survivors include two sisters, Julia Jean Leavy and Jennie McEntee Leavy, 
and a brother, Philip G. Leavy III, all of Norfolk; maternal grandfather, Joseph 
Grocki of Norfolk; and paternal grandmother, Margaret C. Leavy of Pittsburgh.
A Mass of the angels will be offered at noon Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A Mass of the resurrection will be said at 9 a.m. Sunday in Our Lady of the Rosary 
Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Children’s 
Hospital of the King’s Daughters, to help purchase a jet ventilator.
