Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home  January, 2015
Mary Preputnick Lech, age 82, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014. She was born 
on September 15, 1932, in McAdoo, PA, to the late Anna and Andrew Preputnick.
She married the love of her life, Theodore Lech on July 19, 1953. As a Navy wife, 
she lived in many states, including Florida, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New 
York, before finally settling in Virginia Beach. She was an active member of the 
community, volunteering for over 20 years with the Red Cross at the Boone Clinic 
Pharmacy. She was enthusiastically involved in her children’s activities including 
Cub Scouts, band, and athletics. She enjoyed many summers camping on the Eastern 
Shore with family, making ceramics, and was an active member of St. Pius X 
Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Theodore Lech; two sons, David of 
Springdale, AR, and Eugene and wife Sherrie of Alma, AR; four grandchildren, David 
Jr. and wife Heather of Harahan, LA, Tony and wife Arnie of Mexico City, Mexico, 
Jennifer of New York, NY, and Michael of Fayetteville, AR; and four great-
grandchildren, Penny, Sebastian, Sophie and Aster. She was preceded in death by 
her daughter, Diana Lech of Norfolk, VA.
The viewing will be held Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hollomon-
Brown Funeral Home, 1457 Independence Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA. The funeral mass 
will be celebrated Monday, January 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic 
Church, 7800 Halprin Drive, Norfolk, VA, followed by entombment at St. Mary’s
