Virginian-Pilot September 11, 1949
Mrs. Emily Bruce LeClair, 55, former resident of Norfolk, died yesterday in 
Bellevue Hospital, New York, after a short illness. She was a nurse and had served 
Bellevue Hospital or many years after leaving Norfolk to make New York her home.
Mrs. LeClair was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late John A. and Mrs. 
Agnes V. Bruce. She is survived by two brothers, Merrel L. Bruce, of Philadelphia 
and Leonard W. Bruce, Sr., of Norfolk.
The body will arrive today and will be removed to the funeral home of Paul B. 
Warren and Son. Funeral services will take place tomorrow at 3:30 p. m. at the 
grave in Elmwood Cemetery.
