LeCompte took place yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock from St. Luke's Episcopal Church and was conducted by the rector, Rev. Arthur S. Lloyd. The interment was in Elmwood. Mr. LeCompte was a well known and popular transportation man, connected with the Merchants' and Miners' Transportation Co. in this city. He was stricken with paralysis on Charlotte Street Thursday night and died about two hours afterwards. He was in the fifty-seventh year of his age. The flags at the Merchants' and Miners' wharf were at half-mast yesterday out of respect to his memory.
