LeCompte, widow of Emmett H. LeCompte, died in Washington, D.C., at 3 o'clock yesterday morning. She is survived by one son, two sisters, Mrs. W.G. Dalby, of Washington and Miss Lillie S. Betts, of Norfolk and her father, John W. Betts, of North Carolina. The remains will arrive here from Washington this morning. The obsequies will be held from the apartments of Funeral Director H.D. Oliver, 520 Freemason Street at 3 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** The remains of Mrs. Sallie D. LeCompte, a former resident of Norfolk, and widow of the late Emmett H. LeCompte, whose demise occurred in Washington Sunday, arrived here on the steamer from that city, yesterday morning and were taken to the apartments of funeral director H.D. Olvier, 520 Freemason Street, where the funeral was conducted at 3 o'clock p.m. yesterday by Rev. Thornton Whaling, D.D., of the Second Presbyterian Church. There was a magnificent display of floral tributes. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Marvin Hunter, William Hudgins, Frank Roberts, Fenton Priest, Preston Danby and Joseph Nawby.
