Norfolk Ledger Dispatch January 24, 1913

Robert Edward Lee died suddenly yesterday afternoon at his home, No. 314 Boush 
Street, being found dead by his wife in his room, where he had gone to take a 
nap. His mother was spending the day at his home and he was to see her to the 
street car, but when the wife went to awaken him he was found to have breathed 
his last, presumably from heart disease. He was a native of Princess Anne 
County, 47 years old and had lived in Norfolk six years, being highly esteemed. 
He is survived by his wife, his mother, Mrs. Indiana Lee; three brothers, F.K., 
H.M. and T.R. Lee and three sisters, Mrs. S.B. Pope and Misses Jane S. and Lucy 
D. Lee, all of Norfolk. The funeral occurs at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the residence, 
Rev. J.A. Christian officiating. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
